HOW WE WILL WORK
A clear process from website brief to launch.
A useful website starts with a shared understanding of the job it needs to do. We agree the scope, content, functionality, and review stages, then work through the project in manageable steps. The exact plan depends on whether we are building a new site or improving an existing one.
01 / DISCOVERY
Understand the business and the brief.
We discuss your services or products, audience, current website, and what needs to change. We identify the essential visitor journeys, the content available, and any integrations or functionality the project depends on.
From that conversation, we agree the scope, responsibilities, review points, and launch requirements.
02 / PLAN
Give each page a clear purpose.
We organise the pages and navigation around what visitors need to understand. The layout brings the offer, supporting detail, evidence, and next step into a sensible order.
For an existing site, this stage also considers the pages and URLs that need to be retained or redirected.
03 / BUILD
Turn the agreed direction into a working website.
I develop the responsive layouts in the agreed WordPress setup, with reusable styles and an editing approach that suits your team. We add the approved content, images, and required functionality.
You review the work at the agreed stages so feedback can be resolved while the project develops.
04 / TEST
Check the experience people will actually use.
Testing covers mobile layouts, navigation, links, keyboard access, forms, and the important actions on your site. Store and booking journeys receive checks appropriate to the functionality involved.
I also review image delivery, page speed, headings, metadata, and the technical search settings within the agreed scope.
05 / LAUNCH
Move to the live site with a final check.
We confirm the launch checklist and take a backup before the agreed deployment. Once the website is live, I check the public pages, key links, and visitor journeys again in the live environment.
The handover includes the information you need to manage the content and understand any remaining actions.
06 / SUPPORT
Keep the website useful after launch.
Your website will need attention as software, content, and business requirements change. We can agree ongoing WordPress maintenance or a defined scope for later improvements.
That can include updates, backups, content changes, troubleshooting, and checks on the parts of the website your business relies on.
BEFORE WE START
Your questions, answered.
What should I prepare before a website project?
Bring your current website if you have one, an outline of your services or products, the audience you want to reach, and the main goals for the project. Existing brand assets and available content help us identify what is ready and what still needs to be prepared.
How long does a project take?
The timeline depends on the pages, functionality, content readiness, and review requirements. We agree a realistic schedule after understanding the scope, rather than quoting a fixed timeline before seeing the brief.
Can you improve a website without rebuilding everything?
Yes. A project can focus on specific layouts, website functionality, SEO, performance, or maintenance. We review the existing setup and decide which changes are justified by the problem you need to solve.
