WordPress SEO

WordPress SEO built around your services and content.

Useful content is harder to discover when the website structure is unclear or technical settings get in the way. I help businesses improve WordPress SEO by reviewing their service pages, internal links, search settings, and page experience. I’m based in Lisbon, Portugal, and work with clients serving local and international audiences.

Give each important page a clear purpose.

We review your services and the questions customers ask before contacting you. I help organise pages around distinct subjects, with relevant headings, useful explanations, and descriptive internal links. The goal is to help visitors find the right information and understand what you offer.

Review the technical search setup.

I check the agreed site for avoidable indexing problems, inconsistent canonical URLs, broken internal links, and redirect issues. Titles, descriptions, XML sitemaps, and relevant structured data are reviewed against the content. I work with Yoast or Rank Math where appropriate, rather than treating a plugin score as the result.

  • Heading and internal-link structure
  • Canonical, sitemap, and indexability checks
  • Relevant structured data and redirect review

Make location information useful and accurate.

For businesses serving specific areas, we clarify the services and locations that matter to customers. Geographic information must describe where you actually work. I avoid filling pages with repeated place names or creating near-identical location pages that add little useful information.

Review visibility using the right evidence.

Where Search Console access is available, we can review indexing, search queries, and page performance over time. SEO work can improve the website’s foundations and relevance, but it cannot guarantee indexing, a particular position, or a fixed increase in enquiries. We agree the checks and reporting scope before work begins.

Start with evidence from the current website.

Before choosing changes, we review the pages your business depends on and any available search data. A technical review can identify access or configuration issues, while page-level work can identify missing explanations and weak connections between related content. These are different problems and may need different priorities. Where data is limited, I explain what can be checked now and what needs observation after the changes. Recommendations should have a clear reason, rather than being a checklist of plugin warnings.

Create service pages with a real difference.

A dedicated service page should help someone decide whether that service fits their problem. It needs its own scope, practical details, relevant examples, and next step. Repeating the same text under several headings or city names gives visitors little reason to use those pages. I help organise content around the actual services and questions of your customers. Projects can provide context, but traffic or ranking improvements are described only when there is evidence. Your website’s identity, experience, and location should remain consistent across the pages.

BEFORE WE START

Your questions, answered.

Can you help with a WordPress website that is not appearing in Google?

Yes. I can investigate the agreed technical setup, including indexing settings, canonical URLs, and crawl access. Search Console can provide further evidence when available. Google makes the final indexing decisions.

Do you use Yoast or Rank Math?

I work with either where appropriate. The plugin helps manage settings and metadata, but useful page content, site structure, and correct configuration still need individual attention.

Does this include rewriting every page?

Content changes are agreed in the scope. That may cover selected service pages, title and description improvements, or recommendations for missing information. A complete website rewrite is a separate, larger content task.

Can SEO work include page speed improvements?

Yes, when agreed. Performance issues are reviewed as part of the site experience. Detailed asset, script, and caching work can be scoped through the dedicated website page speed optimisation service.

How quickly will rankings improve?

There is no fixed timeline or guaranteed ranking change. Search results depend on your content, competitors, website history, and Google’s systems. We review the agreed improvements and available search data over time.
