Privacy Policy
Last updated: 21 October 2026
This notice explains how information is used when you visit saviourbassey.com, enquire about a project, book a call, or try a website experiment.
Who operates this website
This website is operated by Saviour Bassey, a freelance website designer and WordPress developer based in Lisbon, Portugal. For privacy questions or requests about your information, email [email protected].
Project enquiries and bookings
When you contact me or book an introductory call, I receive the information you provide, such as your name, contact details, appointment time, website address, and project requirements. I use it to respond, arrange the conversation, and discuss or deliver the requested work. Please avoid sending passwords or other sensitive information through an initial enquiry.
Booking links open Calendly. Calendly processes the information you enter to arrange the appointment; its privacy notice explains its own processing. If you contact me through Upwork, that platform’s privacy notice also applies to your use of its service.
Website analytics
I use Jetpack Stats to understand visits and improve the website. Automattic processes information including IP address, browser details, visited and referring URLs, visit time, language, and country. It may also recognise visitors who are signed in to WordPress.com. The statistics available to me are aggregated.
Automattic states that identifiable Jetpack Stats logs are retained for 28 days. See the Jetpack Stats documentation for details. I do not use advertising or remarketing trackers on this website.
Hosting, security, and cookies
HostGator hosts the website, and Cloudflare helps deliver and protect it. These services process technical information such as IP addresses and browser or request details to operate the site, diagnose problems, and prevent abuse. Cloudflare may set security or challenge cookies. Their notices provide further information: HostGator / Newfold privacy notice and Cloudflare privacy policy.
WordPress uses authentication cookies when someone signs in. The WooCommerce rail experiment uses cart and session cookies when you select sample products. These remember the selected items and cart session; the gallery is a demonstration and does not take payment. See WooCommerce’s cookie documentation.
You can remove or block cookies in your browser settings. Doing so may affect sign-in, security checks, or the sample cart. Browser cookie controls do not necessarily block every analytics request.
External services and links
Portfolio links, booking links, and links to other platforms take you to services with their own privacy practices. Information you submit there is also governed by their notices. Some providers process information outside the European Economic Area; consult their notices for their locations and transfer arrangements.
How long information is kept
I have not yet set a fixed retention period for project enquiries and Calendly appointment records. You can contact me to ask what information I hold about you or request its deletion, subject to applicable legal requirements. This notice will be updated when a retention schedule is established. Service providers apply their own retention arrangements to information they process.
Your questions and rights
Depending on the law that applies, you may have rights to access, correct, or erase your personal information, restrict or object to processing, or receive a portable copy. You can raise a request by emailing [email protected]. I may need to verify your identity before releasing or changing personal information.
You may also raise a concern with your data-protection authority. In Portugal, this is the Comissão Nacional de Proteção de Dados (CNPD).
Updates to this notice
I may update this notice when the website’s services or data practices change. The date at the top shows the latest revision.
